Lo Gieni is the Head of Education, Sourcing and Product Development at Escape Coffee . His career in coffee began in 2008 working as a new barista. From there his passion for creativity, technical understanding, and teaching led him to open and build Escapes flagship cafe, and training programs. Logan was fascinated with how things worked from a young age, and started to learn by watching others take things apart to fix them. He eventually started to do this on his own, and became more and more interested in fixing things. Now, Logan gets to do this as a job and enjoys figuring out how and why something is not working, and what it takes to repair. Here at Escape, he gets to use his knowledge on a variety of equipment, ranging from a simple grinder to a large 15 kilo coffee roaster. Everyday there’s something else to learn about and fix .
Mar Gieni has been working in the coffee industry since 2010. As much as she loves black decaf coffee, it’s really the people in the industry that drew her in and kept her in. She works as the head of operations at Escape. In her spare time she enjoys anything health and wellness, weight training, and hanging out with her two puppies.(Lola And Carlos)
Tommy Boy after escaping the corporate world . Tom joined the Specialty Coffee Industry to fulfill a lifelong dream to own his own coffee business. Over time, Tom began to learn that there is so much more that goes into producing coffee; it was this journey from seed to cup that opened his eyes to what coffee could be.Roasting is the value-adding step that gives coffee a second life, it turns coffee from an agricultural product into something we can taste and enjoy. Tasting, roasting, and connecting with people through coffee makes the larger world of coffee so much more intimate; it creates a community that brings people together.That said Tom is the head of wholesale at Escape Coffee. What does that entail? Well, in addition to overseeing our little island and international sales, Tom is tasked with formulating and maintaining a vision for our wholesale sector
